Well, this dukw has been around the world, literally. Clint Eastwood exported
this unit to Iceland for filming Flags of Our Fathers. When filming
was finished, it was left in Iceland and donated to a local museum. Tomas,
the curator, decided to work a little magic and had it transported back
here. We did a trade for articles he needed for the museum and I am now
in possesion of the dukw. The black volcanic sand from the beaches of Iceland
is still inside the dukw. A bit of history.
Now about the dukw itself. It has rust issues as you can see in the photos.
Missing some parts. Engine currently in the truck is shot. I have a good
running engine and transmission package to go with the dukw at time of sale.
I have seen people save worse trucks than this. What you see in the pictures
is what you are buying. Other than the engine and trans, I have no extra
parts. Priced to sell. I can arrange shippng most anywhere.
