Rare, early Winch model 1/2-Ton Command Car with square gauges.
I have the gauges out of the vehicle to protect them from the weather but
they go with it--they need restoration. The data plate is there--original
build date is Augsut, 1940. The blue louver tail lamps are in the vehicle
and appear total, undamaged and ready to work.
This vehicle has no dents or significant body rot. Photos show a pristine
restoration candidate with no major flaws ,,, floorboards are good , not
rusty, no bad holes. The radiator is pristine too--correct, original, honeycomb
appears to have no leaks, no dings or gouges. Winch is complete and comes
with the vehicle. Rear bumperettes are not with the vehicle. Motor runs,
but needs as exterior cleaning, restoration, and painting. Generator is
missing but easily replaceable from Midwest Military stock. Correct T211
engine in the body. Fenders and running boards all around are perfect. Set
of inner fender mud guards included but not on the vehicle. All correct
parts under the hood to restore the vehicle.
Tailgate is missing but availabe from Midwest. Cowl and gate edging will need repair but this is a straight sheet metal and an easy fabrication. This is the only area of body work that will require any significant effort. A set of reasonably workable top bows and windshield header included with the vehicle. This is a really hard part to find in original condition. Will need canvas and restoration to work but no major flaws.
Seats are included but obviously need upholstering.
This is an unusual candidature for restoration in that a good sanding will prepare the sheet metal for paint--minimal body work (very minor repair with bondo or leading) will be required. Note in the photos the incredible condition of the running boards and fenders--no body work to be done there.
Priced reduced to $8900.00. Minor travel for delivery possible depending on schedule and where you live.
