1954 Willys M38A1

Rebuilt, reliable and ready to roll!

If you are looking for a M38A1 restoration candidate--this is not the one for you! However, if you are looking for a rebuilt, reliable and ready-to-roll, solid, on and off-road performer-- this IS for you!

In general, the entire vehicle has been gone through and repairs made as necessary. The vehicle has been rebuilt with many upgrades such as 11" self-adjusting drum brakes in lieu of the stock 9" non self-adjusting brakes. Also included are front and rear locking differentials, 32x9.50x15 Super Swamper tires and beefed up body panels. For example, the front floor was replaced with Galvaneal steel and 14 gauge rectangular tubing for the floor bracing. I have a complete list of upgrades and more pictures available upon request. The transmission, axles and 4 cyl. F head motor remain original.

The vehicle is in excellent operating condition. The only issues are a leaking rear main seal, it uses oil to some extent and will occasionally pop out of 2nd gear. These 3 "issues" are common to all jeeps of this vintage with any amount of miles on them. If you are looking for a good, solid reliable off-road ready Jeep, this is it. Jeep is titled as a 1948 Willys.
